Dear Mr Richardson
In reply to your note
asking whether my daughter
and myself might not have
some juvenile poetical
contributions for the
Congregationalist I will
say for both that it is
quite likely, - being as
we are in the midst of
little folks' interests and
suggestiveness. And that
if we should we would
with pleasure offer them
to you.
I have not yet forgotten
or despaired of the story-
sketch which I half-
promised for the Cong.,
and if I gain strength
to do any writing this
summer I may quite
probably begin with that.
At least, I like you to
know that I have it in
mind, even to a plan therefor.
Although I dare not pledge
myself to anything.
